Delete Your Account

Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)

1. Open Cupmark and go to the Me tab.
2. Tap the gear icon in the top-right of your profile card to open Settings.
3. Under Account, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

This immediately begins the deletion process described below — no further action needed.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email info@cupmark.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request", sent from the email address associated with your Cupmark account. Include:

• The email address or public handle on your Cupmark account
• A short confirmation that you want your account and data permanently deleted

We'll verify the request is genuinely from the account owner and confirm by email once deletion is complete.

What gets deleted

Once your deletion request is processed, we permanently delete:

• Your account, login credentials, and profile (name, handle, avatar)
• Your brew records, coffee/bean profiles, cupping and CVA sessions, Triangle Test results, and roast logs
• Your XP, rank, achievements, and Skill Matrix data
• Recipes and experiments you published to the community, and your likes/follows
• Your device push token and notification preferences

What may be retained, and why

A small amount of data may be retained after account deletion, strictly where the law requires it or where it's necessary for legitimate business records:

• Transaction records: Your Cupmark purchase-verification records are deleted along with everything else — Google Play is the merchant of record for all Cupmark subscriptions and retains the actual billing/tax records independently of this app, so nothing further needs to be kept on our side.
• Aggregated/anonymized data: Usage statistics that no longer identify you individually may be kept to understand app-wide trends.
• Content shared with other users: If another user saved, forked, or replicated a recipe of yours before deletion, the fact that a replication occurred may remain in aggregate community statistics, but it will no longer be attributed to your identity.

Timeframe

In-app deletion requests begin processing immediately. Email-based requests are verified and completed within 30 days of receipt. Some data may persist briefly in backups during that window before being purged on our standard backup-rotation schedule (up to an additional 90 days), after which it's unrecoverable.
